I was highly disappointed with my recent experience involving Scott Rapid Dissolving Two-Ply Bath Tissue (Amazon, $4.95/4). While the roll appeared to have a pleasing eggshell color and a bountifully springy texture from within the safety of its plastic packaging, upon tearing off the first square, I found the consistency to be too thin, and the perforation unequal to the task of delivering a clean tear. The texture of the paper was appalling: it resembled something akin to a thin sliver of tree bark. To my surprise and dismay, after only six uses this vastly inferior roll had diminished to a quarter of its original size. Buyer beware: With Scott, TP stands for Totally Pathetic.
